How to Annotate Files

Annotations help internal and external stakeholders provide precise feedback. With annotations, stakeholders can leave multiple notes or revision requests, streamlining communication and minimizing back-and-forth discussions. Gain keeps a record of the older file version with their associated annotations.

Annotations for Internal Stakeholders

To add annotations, click on Activity from the post editor, and then:

  1. Click Add Annotations
  2. Write your comments and click Send.

  • You and other team members can view annotations in the Activity tracker. Users can select individual numbers to view the portion of the image or document you've commented on.

  • If you need to modify or delete annotations, click on the three dots and select Edit or Delete.

  • To access older file versions, click on the number beneath a past comment in the Activity section. This will reveal the specific section of the file that was annotated. To navigate back to the current file version, click Latest Version.

Annotations for External Stakeholders

To add annotations, click on Request Changes from Pending Approvals, and then:

  1. Click Add Annotations
  2. Write your comments and click Request Changes.
  3. To add more annotations, click Add Another Comment.

  • To access older file versions, click the number beneath a past comment. This will reveal the specific section of the file that was annotated. To navigate back to the current file version, click Latest Version.
