Creating a YouTube post
From either Calendar or Gallery view, click on +New Content and select YouTube.

This will open the content editor where you can select the post type, upload your video, add title, description and other settings.

Post types and media specs
Supported post types: Videos and Shorts.
Videos:
Formats: MP4 and MOV
Size: Up to 1GB
Aspect ratios:
- Landscape videos (wider than 1:1), any duration
- Square or vertical videos (1:1 or taller) should be longer than 3 minutes
Shorts:
Formats: MP4 and MOV
Size: Up to 1GB
Duration: Up to 3 minutes
Aspect ratio: Square or vertical (1:1 or taller)
Adding a thumbnail cover
You can customize the thumbnail cover for your YouTube video. Click on Select frame to select a frame of the video and set it as the thumbnail cover, upload a custom thumbnail from your computer (JPG or PNG image), select a thumbnail from one of your Gain folders, or import it from another source.

Mentioning other YouTube channels
You can @mention other YouTube channels in the video title as well as in the video description.

Adding time stamps
You can add time stamps to create chapters in your video, the same way you do on YouTube.
In the video description, add the list of time stamps and descriptions.
- Make sure that the first timestamp you list starts with 00:00.
- Your video should have at least three timestamps listed in ascending order.
- The minimum length for video chapters is 10 seconds.

Visibility and audience
Under Visibility, choose if your video is intended to be Public, Private, or Unlisted.
Under Audience, check the box if your video is made for kids. This step is required by YouTube.

Publishing and other settings
Once it's been approved, your video will be scheduled and published automatically on the specified publish date. When needed, you can always schedule and publish a video immediately without sending it to a stakeholder for approval. (Need help connecting your YouTube channel to Gain? Learn how here.)

Under Other settings, you can add an internal description and content tags that will help you organize your content inside Gain. These are optional and will not be published to YouTube.
