Track Content Activity and Comments
The Activity & Approval trackers keep a detailed, time-stamped history of change requests, comments, tasks, and approvals for every content item, with names and timestamps.
The Activity tracker
In the Activity tracker in each content item, you can see all the activity related to it, from who created the content item to Team Member comments and Client requests.
Only Team Members with access to the workspace can see the Activity tracker.

The Activity tracker shows a time-stamped log of when:
- the content was created and who created it
- the content is edited and who made the changes
- a Team Member comments
- a Team Member @mentions another Team Member
- a Team Member assigns a task to another Team Member
- an Admin assigns a new content owner
- the content is sent to approval
- a Team Member asks the Client a question
- a Client or stakeholder requests changes or approves content
- an annotation is made on a file
- the content is scheduled
- the content is published
- there was an error while publishing
To leave a comment, type in the field at the bottom of the Activity tracker and click Send. You can mention a Team Member by adding "@" and choosing someone from the dropdown list.
To assign a task to the Team Member you mentioned, click on the check box and click Send.

Once you send your comment or assign a task, it will show up in the Activity tracker.

Note: You can edit or delete your comments within the first 15 minutes after sending them.
Alerts & Notifications
Gain will alert the Content Owner when a someone leaves a comment or feedback. All other Team Members can opt in to be notified of activity in a content item by following specific content items or the workspace.
