Connection and publishing errors
Gain uses each social network's API to publish content. Occasionally, these networks might not publish content as planned due to intermittent issues. When errors arise, Gain makes up to three (3) publishing attempts. If the social network's API doesn't accept the post on the third try and can't publish your posts, we'll let you know via email and in-app notifications. You can also find error information in the Activity tracker for your posts.

Why do social channels need to be reconnected?
According to Meta, access tokens last around 60 days, which means that you will need to reconnect the channels by then, but there are several reasons why they might expire earlier:
- Changes in Admin Access for Facebook Pages
- Changes in your Meta Business Suite account
- Publishing identical posts to several accounts at the same time
- Logging into your account from many different IP addresses (for example, if several people have the email and password login information for an account)
- Logging in and out of several different accounts
- Any activity considered “not secure” by Facebook’s AI-based algorithm.

Instagram responded: "Invalid user id"
Error: This error indicates that the Instagram profile you're attempting to tag in your photos is invalid or set to private mode. The Instagram API only allows users to tag public profiles.
Fix: Verify that the profile you intend to tag in your photo is correctly spelled or in public mode.
Post stuck processing
Error: This is a common problem for Facebook posts scheduled with the Facebook Scheduler. Facebook's scheduler is excellent when you need to run ads with scheduled posts, but it might be less reliable for regular scheduling when compared to Gain's scheduler.
Fix: Change your post to Draft status and reschedule it. If you can't reschedule or publish your post, please contact us through our support widget or by emailing us at support@gainapp.com.
Facebook responded: "The user must be an administrator, editor, or moderator of the page in order to impersonate it. If the page business requires Two Factor Authentication, the user also needs to enable Two Factor Authentication."
Error: If you have access to a Facebook page via Business Suite, you must set up two-factor authentication.
Fix: Set up two-factor authentication on your Facebook account; see this article for instructions.
Instagram api graph responded: "Error validating access token: The session has been invalidated because the user changed their password or Facebook has changed the session for security reasons."
Error: The access token is no longer valid.
Fix: Reconnect your Instagram account to Gain by following the steps in this guide.
Facebook responded: "A security check is required to proceed."

Instagram api graph responded: "User access is restricted"
Error: Most likely, your account has breached Instagram's Community Guidelines or Terms of Use.
Fix: To restore your account, log in to that Instagram account and follow the prompts on the screen.
See this article on Instagram for more info.
Facebook responded: "(#200) Permissions error"
Error: Gain's full permission to post on your Facebook Page was revoked. Even if your Facebook Page was previously linked to Gain, Facebook occasionally revokes access, and you'll need to reauthorize Gain's access.
Fix: Reconnect your Facebook page to Gain. Read how to reconnect your Facebook Page to Gain.
Instagram api graph responded: "(#10) Application does not have permission for this action"
Error: Most likely, your Instagram account has been unlinked from its associated Facebook Page. Your Instagram account might get disconnected from the Facebook Page due to different factors. If this happens, direct publishing won't work in Gain.
Fix: Make sure your Instagram account is properly linked to a Facebook page. See this article for more info.
Instagram responded: "Fatal"
Error: This is usually a temporary issue originating from the Instagram server.
Fix: Consider making slight modifications to your post and reschedule it.
"Error: Media upload has failed with error code 2207057 (Media id: 18010677728433525)"
Error: This typically happens when you choose a thumbnail that is too close to the end of the video. This is due to a difference in how Gain and Instagram calculate video durations.
Fix: Choose a thumbnail for the video that is more towards the middle or beginning of the video.
